The Udawalawe National Park is located in the Uva Province of Sri Lanka, near the city of Monaragala. This park is the third most visited in Sri Lanka, and it offers visitors a fusion of flora and fauna. On your day tour of the Udawalawe Jeep Safari, you are likely to see herds of elephants, buffalos, deer, and leopards. The park is situated in the heart of the Udawalawe reservoir, allowing for marshes, grasslands, and forests. Udawalawe Park, which represents many of East Africa’s national parks, is home to 12 species of amphibians, 33 species of reptiles, 43 types of mammals, 21 types of fish, and 184 species of birds.

You will also visit the Elephant Transit Center, a non-profit organisation founded in 1995 to care for injured, ill, and orphaned young elephants from all over Sri Lanka before reintroducing them into the wild. Watch them feed, play, and regain their confidence before releasing them into the wild.
