You will have your first taste of genuine Sri Lankan hospitality upon arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport. A Wonderland Leisure Chauffeur Guide will greet you at the airport and transport you 32 kms to Colombo.
Check into the hotel. In the evening, go on a Colombo City Tour.
Colombo, the country’s commercial hub, is the busiest place in Sri Lanka. Colombo is a lovely city with modern high-rise buildings interspersed with historic colonial structures, making it a stunning setting. Colombo has a lot to offer travellers, such as the National Museum and Galle Face Green, a popular hangout location for locals and tourists alike, overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean and surrounded by tall majestic structures. Viharamaha Devi Park, with its towering blooming trees that bloom in April, is a peaceful haven in the heart of the city. Colombo is also a shopping heaven, with upscale retail complexes and the well-known Pettah market.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Colombo.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Play golf at Royal Colombo Golf Club in the morning.
The Royal Colombo Golf Club is Sri Lanka’s oldest golf club. It was founded in 1880 and is located in the Ridgeway Links, popularly known as the Anderson Golf Course, in the capital city of Colombo. It is home to the Sri Lanka Golf Union, the country’s regulatory body of golf, and has connections to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland.
The Royal Colombo Golf Club is a haven in the centre of Colombo, surrounded by residential neighbourhoods and commercial institutions. It is an amazing and serene location to rest and unwind in contrast to its surroundings.
The clubhouse has a light and airy feel about it. It’s a great spot to unwind after a round of golf for both members and tourists. The receptionists at the main entrance of the club will greet you warmly as you enter and will be a source of information and help to guests. The walls to your right are covered with photos of historical significance to the club, and the freshly refurbished Pro Shop is to your left.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Colombo.
After breakfast leave 125 kms to Kandy.
Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on the way.
Pinnawala is located in the Sabaragamuwa region of Sri Lanka, near to the town of Kegalle. This settlement is home to an orphanage, nursery, and captive breeding facility for wild Asian elephants known as the ‘Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage.’ The orphanage boasts the world’s biggest herd of captive elephants and is visited everyday by a significant number of local and foreign tourists. The biggest draw is undoubtedly seeing the elephants bathe and feed, which is quite an experience. The orphanage was established to help orphaned baby elephants and adult elephants that had been stranded in the bush.
Evening tour of Kandy, visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic, the Bazar, and traditional dance performances.
Kandy, Sri Lanka’s popular and attractive hill capital, is surrounded by hills, valleys, rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. It is the island’s cultural hub and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The precious tooth relic of Lord Buddha is housed in the temple of tooth. Kandy’s arts and crafts hub, as well as the famous Buddhist temples Malwatta and Asgiriya Monasteries, are must-see destinations. In the evening, take a Nuwara Eliya city tour.
Nuwara Eliya is a city in Sri Lanka’s Central Province’s hill highlands. The city is recognised for its mild temperature and is regarded to be one of the most significant areas for tea planting in Sri Lanka. Many of the buildings contain colonial-era elements that have been kept. Many private residences have also kept their classic English-style lawns and gardens. In April, the town comes alive with celebrations for the Sinhala and Tamil New Years. The main attractions during the April season are motor and horse racing events.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Play golf in the morning at Nuwara Eliya Golf Club.
The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, established in 1889, is one of Asia’s oldest golf clubs. It is an institution steeped in tradition and history, with an atmosphere unparalleled in this nation.
Founded by the British planters who opened up the area for tea in the Nuwara Eliya district for their relaxation and enjoyment, it still caters to some of the country’s colonial traditions. This charming mingling of old-world charm with modern trappings lends it a distinct air and is the essence of its allure.
The Nuwara Eliya Golf Course is well-known across the globe for the superior grade of tea grown in the plantations that surround the club. Despite being only a stone’s throw from town, the club retains an aura of exclusivity, a desirable apartness, such that entering its gates transports one to a world left behind by the march of history.
The 6399-yard-long, par-71 course has long, narrow fairways surrounded by rows of towering eucalyptus trees and exquisite cypresses, all bound together by dense acacia bushes. The course landscape, with its sequence of rolling dales and hills, and the numerous water hazards, demand good positional play.

Sri Lanka’s first and only golf resort is nestled among a massive coconut palm plantation, giving stunning vistas and unique challenges to both novice and seasoned golfers.
It is spread in a big coconut palm plantation and provides beautiful vistas as well as unique difficulties for both new and experienced players. Rodney Wright, an internationally acclaimed designer who believes in incorporating the culture and nature of the local area into a golf course, developed the par-70 course. The beautifully-landscaped course takes players on a memorable golfing journey through three zones, each with its own distinct personality: The Coconut Plantation features lush fairways and challenging bunkers, The Dune Area features subtle elevation changes and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, and The Sapphire Mine features generous greens and an abundance of water features.
The Shangri-La Golf & Country Club in Hambantota offers a variety of amenities for both hotel guests who are eligible to green fees and day visitors. The Clubhouse overlooks the 18th green and serves as a post-game greeting for golfers and guests. Ulpatha, the Clubhouse restaurant, serves beers on tap, refreshing beverages from the island bar, and tasty pub-style light snacks in a social atmosphere. On-course refreshments are also offered, with all electric golf carts fitted with their own cooler cases.
The island country has a colourful history, and its southern coast is ideal for unhurried exploration, with old temples, tiny fishing villages, and isolated beaches.
