Attractions

There are so many places to see inside Sri Lanka’s 65,525 square kilometres (25,299 square miles – about half the size of England) that travellers come year after year. At its broadest point, the island is 435 kilometres long and 240 kilometres wide. Despite the fact that the bulk of the island is low-lying and flat, The country’s southern central half is mountainous, with nine peaks reaching above 2,133 metres (7,000 feet). The people of Sri Lanka are charming, and there are ancient mystery ruins and religious monuments (the Cultural Triangle), national parks and animal sanctuaries, gorgeous traditional residences, gorgeous sceneries, a pastoral way of life in contrast to the rush and bustle of the towns and cities, beautiful beaches, and a healthy climate.

SUGGESTIONS ON PACKING

Your packing list will be primarily determined by the activities and locations you intend to visit during your holiday. Some of the necessities are as follows:

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in public places in Sri Lanka, but there are designated smoking areas in restaurants, pubs, and cafes. Inside some establishments, there is a designated smoking area.

Wild and Stray Animals

As much as your heart melts when you see a cute dog, cat, or even a monkey wandering around and coming to you when you have some food, please be very cautious because most of these stray animals have rabies and are not being vaccinated; if they bite you, it could cause trouble and you will need to get some vaccinations as well. The same is true for wild animals while on safari. Some are completely unaccustomed to humans. I’m sure you’ve heard the expression “wild animals cannot be tamed,” so it’s best to be safe. If you come across any injured stray animals while on tour, please contact Embark, a foundation that rescues stray animals and places them in forever homes.

Customer Care and Complaints Procedure

Wonderland Leisure is fully committed to providing excellent customer service at all stages of your holiday. This includes resolving any issues at the source to the benefit and satisfaction of all parties. Any complaints must be addressed as soon as possible with the service provider (for example, the hotel manager), our ground representatives, and agents. If matters are not satisfactorily resolved, you MUST notify Wonderland Leisure via e-mail within 24 hours in order to make another attempt to resolve the situation amicably. Wonderland Leisure provides you with the contact information before your trip, and it is your responsibility to keep it safe. If this arbitration procedure is not strictly followed, we reserve the right to refuse any liability or compensation.

Special Requests

Any special requests, such as diet, room location, room type (twin/double), a specific hotel facility, etc., must be communicated to us at the time of booking. You must also confirm your requests via email. While we will make every effort to accommodate your reasonable special requests, we cannot guarantee that they will be met. The fact that a special request was noted on your confirmation itinerary or any other documentation, or that it was forwarded to the supplier, is not proof that the request will be met. Failure to meet any special request does not constitute a breach of contract on our part, and we do not accept bookings that are contingent on meeting any special request.

Travel Insurance

It is strongly advised and recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance in your home country before travelling to Sri Lanka.
