Welcome to Sri Lanka, the Pearl of the Indian Ocean!
On arrival at the Bandaranayake International Airport. A Wonderland Leisure Chauffeur Guide will greet you at the airport and accompany you to your private vehicle. Proceed by vehicle to the medieval rock fortress of Yahapahuwa.
This citadel is said to have been the capital of Sri Lanka for a very brief period and was chosen by the kings of the era because it was thought to be safe from attacks of the South Indian armies.
The site, reached by a steep flight of steps is famous for its sculptures of lions, dancers and drummers as well as for its intricate stone windows. It is believed that the Buddha’s tooth relic was housed here.
Dinner and overnight stay at Sigiriya.
Grab your takeaway breakfast, get an early start. Ascend Pidurangala rock. Discover Pidurangala, one of Sri Lanka’s most talked-about tourist destinations. Pidurangala, which is close to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, has a proud ancient heritage that many visitors overlook. The view from this location is truly spectacular and offers a different perspective on the adjacent, much visited site of Sigiriya.
Afternoon safari to Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park. Since this is the greatest time to see wild elephants in their native environment. If you’re looking for some real jungle action, Minneriya/Kaudulla is the place to be! This 8800-hectare park is mostly a refuge for elephants, but it also has herds of deer, bulls, wild boars, and colorful wildlife. This location is well renowned as the world’s largest elephant gathering spot.
Dinner and overnight stay at Sigiriya.
Following an early breakfast. Put on our hiking boots, grab our cameras, and go out to climb the magnificent Sigiriya Rock, one of the renowned and officially designated “eight wonders of the world” and a (WORLD HERITAGE SITE). On top of this rock, King Kasyapa (477 – 495 BC) erected his palace, which was painted with beautiful paintings on all sides. Sigiriya refuses to give its secrets readily; in fact, to reach the top, you must ascend a succession of vertiginous ladders. Along the walk, you’ll see some amazing frescoes and a pair of massive lion paws cut into the bedrock.
Elephant Back Safari, The most enjoyable & exciting safari adventures in Sri Lanka may be had on an elephant back. A unique opportunity to experience a day in the life of an elephant is offered by these elephant back safaris, which also allow participants to view animals from the elephant’s back. Elephant Back Safaris provide visitors the chance to interact with the wildlife they are viewing while riding an elephant. Taking the route that leads to Trincomalee (a 2- to 3-hour journey). Once you get to your hotel, you can spend the rest of the evening relaxing on the beach.

You will embark on a boat journey early in the morning to see whales and dolphins. By 6.30 AM, the speedboat departs from Trincomalee’s shore. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then feel free to explore the beach until noon. After lunch, you will depart for an afternoon of snorkeling on a stunning Island that you will access via small shuttles. You will spend 3 hours swimming and having fun to see as much underwater life as possible.

After breakfast, we will drive for approximately five hours with an on the Way Lunch to the surf town of Arugam Bay in the southeast of Sri Lanka. Once you get to your hotel, check in and take advantage of the rest of your free time to explore the area or relax on the beach.

Following breakfast. Before going to the beach to experience surfing in the greatest location in Sri Lanka and to have the best surfing delight, you will start out with an introduction to surfing and explanations in small groups. You are free to continue surfing, try other water sports or unwinding at the Surf Camp after your meal (at the hotel) for the remainder of your free evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at Arugam Bay.
Soon after breakfast. Enjoy a leisurely morning at the beach before leaving for Okanda at 10 a.m. (the entrance of Kumana National Park). We will depart from the hotel no later than 10 a.m. for Okanda, stopping for lunch en route. The jeeps will be there for you when you arrive for your Safari Adventure.

Kumana National Park & Kudumbigala Shrine
The only access by dirt road to Kumana through its buffer zone which had an ancient forest hermitage called Kudumbigala, dates back to the 3rd century and has always been a renowned Buddhist hermitage. Many caves, with rocky inscriptions and ruined temple complexes, covered with evergreen ticks, shared by wild animals (Sri Lankan leopard, sloth bear, Asian elephant, crocodile, golden jackal and many others…) stick by tank, lagoon and padi fields where farmers, fishermen, monks live to share the same land. Kudumbigala Wildlife Sanctuary is an incredible place to discover on foot and by 4×4 to penetrate deep into the wild cultural site. Multiple migratory and resident birds can be spotted as well as many wild animals.
You will arrive at the Kumana National Park entrance gate by 11 AM and set out on a jeep ride through the park’s interior to your campsite. After arriving at the camp site for lunch, you will then leave for an afternoon safari. During this journey, keep your eyes opened to see all the wildlife, spectacular scenery, and the setting sun before arriving back to your camp in the evening.
Once you arrive at the camp, get into your tent and put up your floor mat before exploring the area and taking in the surroundings. Your meal will be served under the stars, surrounded by oil lamps and a campfire. Spend some time connecting with the environment and the companions you are with. You’ll have the rest of the evening to yourself. Please be aware that due to the potential presence of wild animals nearby, no nighttime walks will be permitted beyond the camp.
The camp will be set up either in the woods or on a beach plot in the center of Kumana National Park or Kudumbigala Shrine. A simple tent will be built, together with a portable toilet and shower set, for the bare essentials of sanitation.
Birds that can be observed
90% of the waterbirds that live in the wetlands of Kumana and Yala are migrating species, including the waterfowls and cormorants (little cormorant, Indian cormorant)
Large waterbirds includes the painted stork, Eurasian spoonbill, Asian openbill, grey heron, and black-headed ibis.
Small and medium-sized waders are two of the most prevalent species of waterfowl. Among the endangered species seen in Sri Lanka and this park are the lesser adjutant and the black-necked stork.
Resident spot-billed pelicans, pelicans, lesser flamingos, migrant great white pelicans, and some relatively uncommon species like purple herons, night herons, purple swamphens, and oriental darters, as well as forest birds like orange-breasted green pigeons, hornbills, old world flycatchers, Indian paradise flycatchers, Asian barbets, and orioles, can all be seen, sometimes in large flocks. The white-bellied sea eagle and the crested snake are two common raptors in the area.
Early morning, wake up around 5:30 a.m., have coffee or tea, and then leave at 6 a.m. on a 4×4 for a three-hour journey on alternate routes Kumana provides you to be able to spot the busy morning of which certain species can only be observed during sunrise.
Return for breakfast and head on your journey through Kumana until you reach Okanda Gate. With an on the way lunch transfer to Ella and then to Flying Ravana. Arrive at Flying Ravana by no later than 4 p.m, start your ride on Sri Lanka’s longest and tallest zip line, which is 550 meters long and can be crossed at a top speed of 80 km/h.
You will have your overnight stay in a hotel at Ella.
Rise up at 5 AM and grab a takeout breakfast from the hotel before getting in the vehicle to be transferred to the Ella Train Station where you will board the train to Hatton. The express train will leave at approximately 6:40 AM for a journey to Hatton that should take around 3 hours and 30 minutes. The Eastern Railroad offers the most beautiful access to the Hill Country. The experience of riding the train through Sri Lanka’s tea heartland is impossible to forget. The chilly air that blows in through the windows, the boundless hills covered with tea plantations, and the verdant forests are unmatched. Get inside your vehicle when you arrive at Hatton in order to drive you to the Nallathanniya village at 11 AM. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and enjoy your lunch and have the rest of the day free to relax or engage in any activities you want before your night long climb to Adam’s peak past midnight.

Wake up at 1:30 am, and around 2 am, you and your guide will start the ascent of Adam’s Peak, a highly regarded peak. It would take between four and six hours to traverse the roughly 5000 steps. With your guide’s company, walk through the night and experience this time with other pilgrims. Reach the summit and stay there to witness the sunrise. Following your return to the hotel, have a rewarding breakfast that is well deserved and take an hour to rejuvenate before continuing the drive to Kithulgala which is about 1.5hr drive. Arrive at Kitulgala Camp for lunch, check in, and make yourself comfortable before beginning your 2-hour afternoon rafting trip. It really is thrilling to experience the gushing water tide smashing against your raft’s paddles. Once the water activity is over, head back to the camp to rest. You are free to do anything you want with the remainder of the day.
Overnight stay in Kitulgala Camp.
Today is your day to do as pleased, after your breakfast, go canyoning and other water sports activities in the waters of Kitulgala and have a splendid time. Once completing, return to the Hotel, have lunch, and then continue towards Colombo that is nearly a 3 hour drive.
You’ll go to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s main city, which has a rich history dating back to the fifth century. This was an important port city in the East-West commerce even in ancient times. It is now a vibrant contemporary town with a distinct feel. The vibrant streets, restaurants, and sophisticated retail complexes draw both locals and tourists. We haven’t scheduled any activities for the evening, Relax at your wonderful hotel’s beach and pool. In the evening, you may take a walk along the beach while admiring the lovely sunset and the nice evening environment.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the Hotel. To give you the most authentic and open Sri Lankan experience, this tour will be conducted on a Tuk Tuk.
We’ll take you on a beautiful city tour of Colombo has to offer. Explore ancient sites including the National Museum, the Old Lighthouse, Clock Tower, Colombo Harbor, the Old Parliament, the Galle Face Hotel, the Galle Face Green, the Gangarama Temple, Hindu Kovil, the Muslim Mosque & Church, the Old Lighthouse, and more. You can shop at One Galle Face, Independence Square, Viharamahadevi Park., and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). Boutiques shops, designer retailers and Colombo are also the place if you’re searching for the best in high-end dining, clubbing, casinos, rooftop bars, street cuisine, and nightlife. After the tour is over, you’ll head back to your hotel for farewell dinner and drinks later in the evening.
